The Mercury Mariner is a basic-level compact luxury crossover SUV that was launched in 2005. It was a sibling of the Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute, even though it was a bit high up market over the remaining two. When decelerating or braking, the hybrid system of Mariner utilizes regenerative braking, whereas the electric drive motor happens to be a generator, exchanging the momentum of vehicle, and gets back to electricity for saving the batteries. With the help of generated power level of 155 hp, the hybrid Mariner has almost the similar acceleration performance just like the standard 150 kW (200 hp). Again, similar to the Escape Hybrid, it comes with a decent 34 miles per US gallon.
