Lincoln LS Accessories

The Lincoln LS was the first sports sedan that Ford decided to manufacture in years. The only Lincoln car close to a sporty feel was the Continental. Consumers that always went to Lincoln to purchase their vehicles were now looking for something a bit more sporty and fun to drive. In the 1980’s Lincoln began seeing their fans leaving their car lots and purchasing other luxury cars that were just more fun to drive like the Mercedes-Benz, Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, and BMW. Consumers were ready for something besides the Lincoln Continental and the Lincoln Mark VIII. Neither one providing consumers with the sporty feel they were after. In 1999, Ford showcased the Lincoln LS which topped the charts as a sport sedan for 2000. Instead of the slow numb steering of the Continental, the LS offered quick clean steering, tight suspension, 17 inch wheels, rear wheel drive, and a high powered engine. What else could Ford do with the Lincoln LS to bring customers back to their cars? The answer was the manual transmission. This small feature was not heard of at all with any domestic luxury builder.
